I first became interested in health and nutrition at the age of 21. Until then my diet was the typical SAD, (Standard American Diet), burgers, fries, and shakes. The more books I read on Health and Nutrition the more interested I became in learning more about the subject.
Through the use of Chiropractic and Physical Therapy I was able to get rid of most of my pain. It was at this point that I considered a career in Chiropractic. It seemed to be the perfect career match for me. Especially since I was already so involved in learning more about Health and Nutrition. I attended Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and graduated in 1985. I did my internship with Dr. Hedrick in Anaheim, CA. In 1986 my wife and I had our 1st of four children. We chose to move to the Fremont/Newark area to set up our practice and raise our family. I spend most of my time away from my office on an athletic field coaching anyone of my four children's sports teams. It's soccer, basketball, football or baseball. The season never ends. My hobbies include weight training and snowboarding. In addition to Chiropractic, Dr. Loewenstein specializes in the following areas:
Dr. Loewenstein has provided free services to the Ohlone College Athletic Department, The Fremont Youth Football League and Irvington High Scholl Football League. Dr. Loewenstein attends several seminars a year to keep up with the current research and applies it directly to his treatment protocols in his office.
We examine what is hurting you. But we look beyond the local area to see what may be causing it. We determine what needs to be done within our office and what you can do at home or work to prevent or reduce the cause of your condition. We provide both care and education to effectively help you get better.

At
the age of 23 I herniated a disc in my lumbar spine while doing some
heavy construction work. The pain was unbearable. I couldn't move
for weeks without experiencing severe pain. The doctors couldn't wait
to perform surgery on me
. After doing some research and finding
out the dismal success rate for this type of surgery, (about 30% success
rate at that time), I decided to look for an alternative method for
getting well. I then chose to give Chiropractic a try.
